While I don’t believe 1 debate sinks the Biden ship, I fully understand the panic and the talk of replacing Biden. If Biden struggles in the next debate, or has any sort of additional gaffe at a rally or speaking event it’s 100% over and Dems don’t have a whole lot time to find another alternative.
Yes, if you go quietly into your voting box, and pull the 3rd party switch, yep, very little to no impact on the results. But it is when folks like you go around pushing the narrative that something good is going to come out of a 3rd party vote, and enough folks like you agree, then that cumulative impact on the vote very much can and has turned the tide. The Green party has done more to damage the environment then they will ever do good.
An alternative would be anyone who execute the sort of policies that ought to be the thing that voters focus on rather than the person.
Unless Joe Biden voluntarily withdraws he will continue to be the Democratic presidential candidate. Hopefully, someone will be able to persuade Jill Biden the only person who can really influence Joe that if he continues to run and is defeated by Donald Trump his legacy will not be his accomplishments during his term in office but rather that of a stubborn cognitively diminished politician who gave the presidency to Donald Trump. By the way if Trump is elected his ultimate humiliation of Joe Biden could be a statement to the effect that even though (according to Trump) Joe Biden is guilty of multiple crimes he will request that his DOJ not prosecute Biden because Joe Biden is too cognitively impaired to stand trial.
Jill Biden will not let her husband quit, and if he does the Dems might not have a Dem nominee for POTUS in several states by the time he does quit the race. So, even if he quits... it will not help the Dems. They are stuck with Biden. I wonder if his death changes any state laws... Surly the Red states will not change their laws specifically to accommodate the Dems. The Blue states would for sure.
