I bet if Harris takes the baton, Trump supporters will then say she's worse than Biden and the Democrats would have had a better chance with Biden. If it's somebody other than Harris, I guess they'll say that person is even worse than Harris would have been. Not sure how anyone could be worse than Biden if they really believe the Biden crime family's secrets are about to be revealed any day now.

The Democratic Party now holds the future of American democracy in its hands. It can replace Biden and hopefully defeat Trump, or we can head down the road to one-party rule and dictatorship. If Trump, who still claims the 2020 election was stolen from him, wins this election, don't you think that his criminal organization/Republican Party will rig every election thereafter? Of course it will. One-party, authoritarian government. If the Democrats are stupid enough to let that happen, so be it.

Apparently you haven't seen Harris lately. She's completely capable of shredding Trump. Unlike Biden she won't give Trump a free pass on his string of lies.
Kamala Harris Could Win This Election. Let Her.
In the wake of Thursday night’s debate, it is easy to overlook how weak Trump is. He gave a dismal performance. He served up a platter of falsehoods and insults that actually turned off some voters, according to interviews I saw with debate viewers on television. But a rambling, sputtering Biden utterly failed to counter him.

Harris, with her killer instincts and poise, could have wiped the floor with Trump on the issues that matter most to voters. We forget that she was very successful not just as a prosecutor but also as a candidate for statewide office in California. As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee during the first Trump administration she drew blood with her tough, calm and deliberate questions, managing to score viral moments without seeming like a theatrical showboater.

As I recall, Kamala put Biden through the wringer in one of the Democratic debates before the 2020 election. Biden was so impressed with her abuse of him that he chose her as VP. I think she could make mincemeat of Trump in a debate. (But then, of course, who couldn't, besides Joe Biden?)

The problem is that she has a tendency to overprepare as well and look like a deer-in-the-headlights as she tries to recall all of her stats. Her messaging people are amateurs.

No way. The black vote is not determined by one issue, like who the V.P. is. Just like it's not determined by one of the candidates being racist and claiming to protect "Black jobs". I would think that not being a racist far outweighs having a black candidate in a role that is essentially a non-functional president-in-waiting role (V.P.). (Besides, we've already had a Black president, so it's not like Harris is the highest ranking official in U.S. history and was on a path to being the first Black president.) As long as Biden explains that she was not contributing at the level he expected her to, then that would be enough for most Black voters. The alternative, keeping her on staff without any contribution from her, might cause Biden to die early from a stroke or heart attack from all of the stress of his job. And then we have a non-performing president with no clue on how to get things done. With Russia and China MAJOR issues still unresolved, this would be a bad time in history to have a president with a deer-in-the-headlights look on her face and no answers. I think we should give Biden the benefit of the doubt if he wants to change his V.P. He is the one who is supposed to be helped by her performance. He certainly does not need any credibility from partnering with a minority candidate at this stage in his career. He needs someone who can help him finish the job vertically, and not horizontally, if you get my drift.

The issue IS Biden's age. At his age, he needs someone in the V.P. role that can take some of the heat off of him and GET THINGS DONE. Harris is not that person.

I know what happened behind closed doors in the White House because people who were behind closed doors have talked about it. It's been in several stories that Harris and work do not get along, and that she gets easily offended by people who do not kiss her azz properly, and all of her assistants are hyper-competitive with each other (she does not manage people well). Biden's people complained that she refused to accept the immigration assignment. You should probably read the news once in a while.

Donald Trump. He was convicted of 34 felonies. That makes him a convicted felon, by definition.

That is false. You should probably stop listening to Trump's lawyers.

Convicted felon Definition | Law Insider

A jury trial has found him guilty of a felony.

Not until the judge sentences him... The jury does NOT adjudicate.

That is false. You clearly don't know how the law works and were lied to by Trump's attorneys. You are a convicted felon as soon as a conviction for a felony is on the official record. Sorry, can't hide from your cognitive dissonance by this method.

There are actually two convicted felons, the defeated former president and the one-time cocaine addicted son of the current president.

And yet, she traveled to the border and Central America for the "immigration assignment." So I'll pass on whatever "news" you're talking about.
In first trip to U.S.-Mexico border as vice president, Kamala Harris focuses on causes of immigration
Kamala Harris tells Guatemala migrants: 'Do not come to US'
Harris to unveil more private investment in Central America to try to deter migration

I don't know why you have such a bug up your rear about Harris, but you're going to have to get over it. She's the VP. She's on the ticket. It ain't changing. And it appears Biden is staying in the race. They both have my full support.

You make some good pointe RE voter turnout.

Not sure how she would do in a debate.

Her record as VP is pretty unimpressive and Trump would pound her on it. “ Can’t get benched as POTUS like you can as VP”. That of course would be played as racist and misogynistic by the media.

I read after the verdict that NY law is a bit different and someone convicted of felony charges technically is not considered a felon in NY until sentencing. It was a CNN article but feel free to fact check it.

I get it, you don't like Harris and that's fine, but your FDR analogy doesn't fit.

The point was that it's going to be either Biden/Harris or Harris/??? if Biden bails, not that Biden needs to choose a new VP.

The issue is Biden s age. Dumping Harris from the ticket would be political suicide at this point.
