Yes, thanks to a political party that is so up the rear end of the President that it refuses to do it's a constitutional duty and remove him from office. In more ways than one we can thank Mitch McConnell for the second term of Donald Trump. First, Mitch was largely responsible for the Supreme Court that gave Trump immunity and secondly Mitch refused to convict Trump following his second impeachment partially on the basis according to Mitch that the criminal justice system would punish him. Although conviction would have been symbolic in one sense since Trump's term was over, a conviction would have prohibited from running for office again. Also remember that immediately after January 6th, 2021 Trump's popularity had dropped to the point that enough Republican may have actually voted to convict him.
