How much of Burney not being able to cover was the bunch formations and rub routes? I'm not going to say they should of all been called, but could we get at least one? If one is called they quit running them at such a high rate.

There's only one TE we have on the schedule that will be at that level and it's Bowers. If Gilbert is healthy and playing, he would send on that list.

 

Thanks for the clarification, in that case, he was in perfect position covering that TE.

All pick plays. They bunched the TEs up and caused some issues for sure.

 

Refs didn't know what a hold was you think they knew when to call a pick??

Rewatch the game ending interception it shows what we were facing all night. Bunch package and brutalizing our defensive backs with illegal downfield blocking and blatant picks. SEC refs wouldn't let that slide for two plays...

 

And we STILL beat them. And it was especially sweet, given how chippy they were.

 

Rub route is putting it very nicely. They were picking our guys off as they were coming across the middle. The refs were not paying attention.

Cormani would’ve picked it off and taken it to the house.

 

You would think they would game prep as coaching staffs do. It would be like Napier getting caught off guard tgat they throw to the tight ends.

 

For sure, no one was asking WWGD (What would Grantham do?) at that point.
