All 4 Panelists on ESPN Bracketology Picked Florida

Yeah, not sure I’ve ever seen that

 

we just steamrolled the SEC tournament...but yes still, it's rare to see the pundits pick us and so unanimously

 

We are now doomed.

 

Woah. It’s a rational pick, but not the only rational pick. But everyone picked us in 2007 too, and if memory serves that worked out alright.

 

They were pretty plain saying Florida was the best team in the country. I think 2 picked us vs Duke and 2 picked us vs Houston in the final.

We back baby.

 

The tournament is a crapshoot. We could lose in the second round to UCONN or we could win it all. All you ask is that you are one of the handful of teams good enough to win it and we surely are.

We are looking at our bracket, rightly I might add, and wondering who will be the toughest matchup.

I wonder what all the other teams in our bracket are thinking when they see they need to go through US?

 

I just want to get past the first 3 hrs of the tournament before my bracket is shot to hell...

 

The CBS crew all had us at least in the final vs Duke. (Kellogg had us winning. Davis had us losing.)

Except Jay Wright. He had Houston in the F4.

Andy Katz had us as his big upset, losing in the Sweet 16.

 

Someone please point out this teams weak point. Size, coaching, speed, defense, shooting, depth, experience, back court, front court..,I just don’t see a weak spot in there. Maybe occasionally we go cold but generally not for long. Maybe some would point out lack of 5 star talent but frankly I’d take heart and effort over inflated egos any day. This team is legit!

 

The only things I'm worried about is if we go ice cold from the 3-point line and the other team can't miss or if we catch refs who want to be the game story and put our guards on the bench . . . but that's rare in the NCAA Tournament.

 

The biggest weakness is probably lack of tournament experience from coaching staff on down to the players.

 

Thats what I love about Todd. He just boat raced the toughest conference tourney in memory. He just does what we do. The field, opponent, location etc don't seem to matter.

That is how you win in march. Dance with what brung ya.

He built a March roster for just this type of thing

Now we roll the ball out and see what happens.

 

No doubt, he built this team for a run in the tournament.

Interesting tidbit I just read. Dyke’s win Saturday against Louis-ville was the blue devils first win against a ranked team since the win against Aub-run in early December. And we were critiqued for a “weak” non-conference schedule which included 4 ACC teams. Dyke has a solid record but got its seed only based on historical reputation!

 

Our biggest weakness is turnovers IMHO. Come up against a team that's hot from the 3pt line and we turn it over 15-20 times limiting our shots and we can find ourselves in trouble.

 

If will Richard shoots well, we will be tough to beat. If he has an off night against the wrong team, we might lose. I feel like he does so much and is so important.

 

this potential run is why I was really hoping for Handles to return when he did.
