In this thread blatantly violating the US Constitution is really just not having a "bleeding heart. "

It's fun when reality can be whatever one chooses for it to be ........

....... in order to justify one's cultish devotion to a rapist, felon con man.

Next time you are court, talk loudly when the Judge is speaking. When the judge says, “be quiet,” tell him you will review his written order and keep talking. Let’s see if his oral order is enforceable.

We have laws on the books to address that issue. Your orange god is not above those laws.

For this particular action, the detained are entitled to hearings at which the government has to prove they are gang members. That is a due process protection to ensure that the government doesnt use the statute to kick out non-gang members or citizens. Hate to think they deport someone who is not a gang member and fled the Maduro regime and got locked up in a notorious El Salvadoran prison. The government is going to have a hard time proving we are at war. We are not, which is why the Act does not apply. But they don’t need this Act to deport these people.

Pesky thing the constitution. It protects everybody. Convicted felons like the man you voted for president and Venezuelan immigrants. They are entitled to due process. And Fascist supporting right wing zealots who view the constitution as a convenient tool and who blatantly disregard court orders be damned.

If he is arguing that the constitution does not apply to certain people here, one way to tell the difference is to issue bling so they are easy to spot. You know, like those yellow stars of david the Germans used. Does he really want to go there?

british backpacker, trading chores for lodging, told US immigration officers the truth

oopsie..that requires a work visa..off to the slammer with you for three weeks.

wth is wrong that they couldn't just let her go back to Canada

MAGA - is this the country you want? does this make you proud to be an american?

British tourist detained by US for over two weeks for travelling with wrong visa released, family say

Ms Burke had planned to stay with a host family in Washington where she could carry out chores in return for accommodation after using a similar arrangement in New York. But when she told US immigration officials this at the border with Canada, they informed her she should have need to have been on a working visa and not a holiday visa.

Ms Burke previously told the BBC how she was being held in an immigration detention facility in Tacoma, which she described as prison-like.

“They wake us up at 6:30am. There is never enough time to sleep. It's so cold," she said.

“I wear the same jumper for a week. They're short or out of stuff, like blankets and extra clothes. I have one towel."

'Totally lawless state': Conservative warns democracy in danger with Trump's latest antic

Sarah Longwell, publisher of the conservative outlet The Bulwark, claimed Monday on CNN's Inside Politics that the Trump administration's apparent refusal to comply with a federal judge's order was taking U.S. democracy down a dangerous path.
    ....................
Longwell said Trump's strategy is to "pick the most unsympathetic people" to deport and Americans won't care that he's defying the law.

In fact, Vice President JD Vance wrote late Sunday that "there were violent criminals and rapists in our country" and "President Trump deported them."

"A lot of people are going to be like, 'I don't care about deporting gang members. These are bad people.' Now, we don't know exactly, we're not sure that they're gang members, we're just taking their word for it. But they do seem to be hitting the point now where they're trying to get by on a technicality...where they want to ignore what judges say. Which, once you get to that point, once you have a president who's just disregarding what judges say, you're in a totally lawless state."

There are many ways to wind up in court short of breaking the law. And toy can watch cases. Go watch a criminal trial and see what happens. In the middle, yell from the gallery, “he is guilty. Is he a Venezuelan gang member?” When the judge addresses you, tell him you will wait for his written order. What do you think will happen?

Miami Herald has a story up about a guy deported who has no convictions and his family says he fled the fangs and is not a gang member. Was sent ti Venezuela. That’s why you have hearings.

and here is one about a barber and another that showed up to his appointment with authorities to be arrested and now sent to prison, all while DOJ admits many don't have any criminal records

people should be sent to jail that facilitated this against judges orders. following orders is not a defense, ask those guys with armbands

I wonder how much per person this illegal operation cost and how much more will be spent to bring them back...saving tax dollars my ass

been here, working as a barber since 13 with no criminal record, married, rising a family..boom, in a prison in El Salvador..im sure bill will laugh at that too

Families search for loved ones after hundreds taken on U.S. immigration flights disappear from online locator | PBS News

U.S. officials acknowledged in a court filing Monday that many people sent to El Salvador do not have criminal records, though they insisted all are suspected gang members. “The lack of a criminal record does not indicate they pose a limited threat,” said a sworn declaration included in the filing, adding that along with their suspected gang membership “the lack of specific information about each individual actually highlights the risk they pose.”
    .............................................................
On Feb. 3, Caraballo went to an ICE office in Dallas office for another mandatory check-in with the agents handling his asylum request. He had been coming regularly to the office for months. What gang member, his wife asked, would walk into a federal law enforcement office during a Trump administration crackdown that has left immigrants across the country terrified they would be deported?

“We followed the law like we were told to. We never missed any” meetings with authorities, said Sánchez, who remains in the U.S. trying to secure her husband’s release. Sánchez said her husband, who she married in 2024 in Texas, has had no run-ins with the law in the U.S. She also showed The Associated Press a Venezuelan government document showing he has a clean criminal record there.
