Why do magats assume that everyone who disagrees with Premier Krasnov is a liberal? There are plenty of us registered Republicans who are sickened by his lack of respect for the Constitution and the Rule of Law.

Democrats love criminals? You're really trying to make that point as if it's real?

The question is this: Is the president bound by any laws or is he allowed to do whatever he wants?

Guy who literally cast a presidential vote for a criminal is complaining that other people like criminals. Too funny.

And this in order to justify his criminal breaking the law. :)

When you have nothing to stand on morally, intellectually or legally this is the only thing you can say.

Immigrants are an out-group, so the law should bind but not protect them. Donald Trump is his in-group, so the law should protect but not bind him.

They most likely voted for him because they thought that he would lower prices and secure the Southern border even though they knew that he was a criminal.

Who needs due process and Constitutional protections anyway? Not undocumented aliens, am I right?!? Unless, of course, first they come for the aliens and I do not speak out, because I'm not an alien....

What gives Trump the power to use war time actions when there has been no official declaration of war?

not a lib, no more than liz cheney, bill barr, 90% of trumps first cabinet, or so many other real pubs that maga tries to shame for not worshipping dear leader

violating the constitution and breaking laws is not an exception. see all the judges rulings in so many judges.

who do you think should decide what the law is, the judicial branch or potus?

the trip wire is invasion, not declaration of war

edit..not sure..second link says for time of war

he declared an invasion day 1.

this has been in the works

Declaring A National Emergency At The Southern Border Of The United States – The White House

America’s sovereignty is under attack. Our southern border is overrun by cartels, criminal gangs, known terrorists, human traffickers, smugglers, unvetted military-age males from foreign adversaries, and illicit narcotics that harm Americans, including America.

This invasion has caused widespread chaos and suffering in our country over the last 4 years. It has led to the horrific and inexcusable murders of many innocent American citizens, including women and children, at the hands of illegal aliens. Foreign criminal gangs and cartels have begun seizing control of parts of cities, attacking our most vulnerable citizens, and terrorizing Americans beyond the control of local law enforcement. Cartels control vast territories just south of our southern border, effectively controlling who can and cannot travel to the United States from Mexico. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have tragically died from drug overdoses because of the illicit narcotics that have flowed across the southern border.

This assault on the American people and the integrity of America’s sovereign borders represents a grave threat to our Nation.

Judge who ordered deportation flights of Venezuelan gang members be returned faces calls for impeachment

Last used during World War II, the Alien Enemies Act was implemented in advance of a potential war with the French at the time, due to fears that immigrants would sympathize with France. The law provides the president broad powers to imprison or deport noncitizens during a time of war.

There is nothing "wrong" with this view VAg8r1, but I think it doesn't tell the whole story. The left went too far with lawfare and that backfired.

The Trump bump in the polls after each of these judicial actions was real.

Dems should have learned from the Clinton years. Just because combing through the Clintons' past business dealings could yield legal results doesn't change the fact that it was driven by politics. The Rose Law Firm billing records never would have seen the light of day unless Clinton was the POTUS.

There are a lot of people out there who have been unfairly targeted by laws due to ulterior motives of the prosecutor. A lot of them are minorities.

Every time the law was abused to score political points against Cinton or Trump, they got a bump.

I agree with you that people ignored Trump's past legal violations - but I think the lawfare actually helped him in the end.

The irony is that if Clinton and Trump had spent their lives carefully crafting a legally bulletproof business past (aka Romney) they would have been worse off, not better.

Still doesn't defend who the invading military is. Nor is there an official declaration of war. How can Trump us war-time powers when there is no official war going on? And speaking of official declaration of war, that's a power that belongs to Congress, not the President.

I would also ask the POTUS to actually provide proof of this "invasion!" Why should we just take his word on things? If the POTUS is going to use war-time powers by claiming an increase in murders of innocent civilians, then prove it! Suspending habeus corpus shouldn't be done lightly, or by decree, because the President is selling nothing but bullcrap! Especially since the overall homicide rate has been dropping, and is almost at its lowest rate in 20 years.

What Trump is doing is marching us directly towards Fascism. First they suspend protections for an undesirable group, and if you oppose, you are questioned about opposing Constitutional protections for such a bad group! But next, they come for another group, and then another. And when they get to you, better hope there is someone left to speak up for you!
