Okay Bill, let's have a real dialogue on this... What "changes" do you expect, predict or hope - "will fundamentally change the US for [the] better"?

Will being a felon be an ongoing requirement for the Cons votes?

so you're ready to declare martial law and suspend the constitution too? seriously. you think the USA is being invaded by a conquering force? wow..were all other immigration waves throughout our history invasions too?

those who can convince one of absurdities can convince one to commit atrocities.. that Voltaire dude was bright...believing we are getting closer and close to that. Justification for shooting people trying to cross the border, crocs in the river and elevated gun turrets with clear line of sight and free fire orders?

I guess Florida is being invaded by yankees so we should declare martial law as they threaten our way of life and our environment. round em all up and sent them back.

We are all harmed by the concept that our laws, and Constitution can be ignored with impunity. We all suffer the removal of checks and balances that have moderated radical attempts to centralize power in one branch of our government over the other two. We all fail miserably when the truth is called fake and facts are willfully ignored, and lies are accepted without question.

'Holy crap': Trump's DOJ raises experts' eyebrows with 'terrifying' brief in court

Part of the appeal stood out to Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, a senior fellow at American Immigration Council and former immigration lawyer for Immigrant Justice Corps.

"Holy crap," he said on Saturday. "The DOJ is arguing that the President can unilaterally deport anyone he wants without ANY statutory authority, just on his inherent authority as President over national security. That is a terrifying claim to make and has never been recognized before in US history."

Reichlin-Melnick added, "While of course deporting citizens is unlawful, I see nothing specific in the argument that would purport to limit that claim to noncitizens, since it's based on membership in a gang. But this is also a badly written brief with a stupid and unlawful argument at its core."

Authoritarianism expert Ruth Ben-Ghiat also flagged the appeal, writing on social media, "Everyone who thought he was joking about being a dictator, are you waking up now?"

openly touting defiance of a legal federal court order

    Roberts, you're up

'There you have it': Trump White House reportedly admits to 'open defiance of court order'

Donald Trump's White House says it ignored a court order, according to a Sunday report.

Axios exclusively reported over the weekend that the White House "says it ignored a court order to turn around two planeloads of alleged Venezuelan gang members." The judge took heat after finding that the White House failed to carry out due process for the purported members of the gang.

The reasoning for ignoring the order, according to the outlet, is that "the flights were over international waters and therefore the ruling didn't apply."

Conservative commentator Charlie Sykes said, "And there you have it... open defiance of a federal court order."

The judge was exceeding his authority with the order. He doesn't have the authority to turn planes around that are already in the air.

It's fun to see these Trumpies (and the Trump Administration and every shill that crimes for them like Musk, Bondi, etc.) lie about this "making us safe" .....

..... when these (almost entirely Venezuelan) individuals were detained or incarcerated in the USA prior to their flight to San Salvador.

But then, Trumpies and Trumpy liars and criminals really enjoy lying to each other and being lied to. It's pretty strange.

In a statement Sunday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt touted the success of the operation and said it had “saved countless American lives” by sidelining the alleged TdA members, although all were housed in immigration detention in the U.S. for some period prior to being deported.

^^ Lie to us, please, Trumpy liars!! We like being lied to!!

Just a media op for the criminal Trump.

Lotta neat camera footage of people who obviously already had been in custody in the USA.

Sad how many folks fall for this low-rent political theater. But then, we knew all along that that was all the Felon Trump would be offering.

It will be fun to note, in 3.5 years, how few criminals and undocumented people the felon will have deported. But he'll have given his cult something to be deceived about...
