If he wins 8 games, I think extension starts to come up. You can’t have a solid program with a coach that gets anywhere near the last year of a contract.

True. If only we can win 5 before we play georgia, we will have a lot of momentum and the team will be on board. I know I know, "the team is already on board, etc" most would say. Yes, they start the season glossy eyed and ready to rumble but they need a good start to feel like their hard work is paying off and what the staff asks of them, works. In my mind, if we go into georgia 4-3 then go on a streak not winning some games, it could be difficult to keep the team focused. Gotta start off with a win over scUMbags.

8 wins might deserve an extension but not the way our illustrious AD indemnified the University when he extended mullen. The issue I had with that is that any half decent AD that has access to the HC and how his assistants are conducting themselves would have known it was not going well. I believe the extension was set six months before it was made public but if you find a staff is not even visiting Jax, you could be pretty sure something was amiss. But anyway...

"Might"? If we win 8 games this season...we should def be beyond the "might" range...he just needs to win 4 games to be the coach at the START of 2025.
