They want to outlaw premarital sex. Funny they didn't say anything about extramarital sex.

I recall that several years ago a so called prolife state legislator (I believe it was an Ohio although I could be mistaken) introduced legislation that would have required the transplantation of a fetus in an ectopic pregnancy from the woman's Fallopian tube to her uterus. Obviously absurd and I do not think the bill ever got out of committee but it does illustrate what can happen when legislators with virtually no expertise decide that they know more about medicine than doctors. The same applies to prosecutors and judges who also have no medical expertise but feel free to substitute their judgment for that of doctors who are actually treating patients.

You’re correct in that it was Ohio. Old, clueless men need to sit this one out.

Scary to thank that someone that far disconnected is on a state Supreme Court bench. Have to wonder how many lives he has ruined with his warped views

    From river's link in post #96 ~

Tuberville initially didn’t hesitate to praise the court’s ruling when asked about it by reporters attending the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“I was all for it,” the Republican senator said cheerfully. “You know, you just gotta look at everything going on in the country. It’s just an attack on families, an attack on kids. You know, anything we can do for the future of our young people because they’re our No. 1 commodity.”

"Commodity"? Is he looking to sell children in our dubious future?

On Meet the Press this morning Byron Donald, member of Congress (and convicted felon) from Naples said that he supported IVF because it was it was useful for “breeding” families

I have never really liked Bruce Pearl, never really disliked him, mostly "nothing-ed him". But I really like him and have great respect for him after he used his platform to make an argument for common sense, despite the fact he and I are on very different ends of the political spectrum. Imagine that, someone speaking out for common sense and the benefit of the country over party. Good on you Bruce.
