You have not one shred of evidence that ties Trump to the people that were let into the Capital building by the cops. You and everyone propagating this lie are simply deluded. You hope and pray for innocent people to go to jail because you don't like them.
The FBI didn't break into Trump's residence on their own volition. The agency conducted a lawful search pursuant to a valid search warrant issued by court on a showing that there was probable cause that a crime was committed. They did go through Trump's personal possessions because there was a good possibility that the defeated indicted former president commingled the classified documents with his personal possessions.
Every president (and vice president, too for that matter) has the right to declassify documents and there is a formal procedure for doing so and Trump failed to follow that procedure. Sorry Rick, he cannot declassify documents simply by saying so or using his mind after he takes them. Trump claims presidents can declassify documents ‘by thinking about it’
Watch how quickly all the indictments get tossed after the election. The will run like rats from a burning building.
Being that you are a person of law and order I know that both you and I agree that we hope that doesn't happen
If Trump wins, would you be in favor of him hiring an Attorney General on the condition that he fire the Special Counsel and make the federal indictments disappear?
Trump won’t have to. They are not going to stand in front of a buzzsaw. Which is what you’d be doing if you pursued charges against a duly elected president-elect. They will jump off the sinking ship before he is inaugurated.
Jack Smith prosecuted war crimes at The Hague. He's not going anywhere if Trump is elected. He and his team are already subject to threats by Trump fanatics so Trump becoming President isn't going to change much.
Another great source. The idiot from Judicial Watch who only has a communications degree. Let me know what Judge Judy thinks next.
Smith isn’t an idiot. He’s a lame duck if Trump wins. The attorney general serves at the pleasure of the POTUS. Trump wins and Smith’s case is over. Understand, he’s not going to fight that. He’d be butting heads with the DOJ and the People, at that point. That’s not a fight he can win. He’s smarter than you and realizes that.
If Trump is elected the two federal cases will be tossed. Not so with the state cases although they would represent a real problem. Trump's Supreme Court would probably find some rationale to stay the state prosecutions (NY and Georgia) until after Trump leaves office.
Doesn't matter if I do or I don't. The investigations will have already ceased to exist by that point. Nobody is stupid enough to go after a POTUS who just received the popular will of the people in an election. Add to this the AG is hand-picked by the POTUS to serve at his pleasure. Do you envision a 2nd time elected President Trump who has just received a mandate from the People not installing an AG who would end those investigations if they were still alive at that point? But it's a moot point. Biden will instruct Garland to stand down and Garland will instruct Smith to stand down before we even get there. It's hilarious you don't understand that's what's about to take place in six months.
trump has lost the popular vote both times he’s run. What makes you think that with so much additional legal baggage he will win it this time?
We know that polls are just a collection of statistics that reflect what people are thinking in reality. And reality has a well-known [conservative] bias. -Colbert Trump is and has been consistently polling at a net of +9% versus Biden at this time in 2020. I'd say that probably has a lot to do with my thinking. But I see the game of semantics and it won't matter if it's only an electoral college win. Biden will tell Garland to stand down immediately. Even Democrats will call for it if there is resistance. Remember it was Obama who had to tell Hillary to make the concession call. Doesn't sound like you are ready for that emotionally, but you should cozy up to the idea, because it's about to happen.
