The SEC being dominant brings in more quality bowl bids leading to higher payouts to each member institution. Bottomline, SEC teams winning their out of conference games directly affect UF’s bottomline.

Im for boise or asu because the rest are in direct competition for the top300 kids. It really doesnt matter if its in season or the last twelve teams in the playoffs, you still have to play em at some point. I dont feel better losing to Oregon any more than i do ol miss or bama.

It doesnt go to boosters buying rosters though, just the guys wanting to renovate our stadium. It has repercussions but not ones as important to me. Coaches and players win games.

I agree. The only SEC team I root for is Ole Miss, because my daughter went there, and whichever team is playing Ohio State, unless that team is Georgia.

Otherwise, I hope they all lose. The SEC has treated us like crap for decades. Screw them.

I’d typically say “pinpoint meteors” but if all the other SEC teams were wiped out by meteors, we’d have to join the BIG.

That’s me with Auburn. Daughters went there and son in law played there. WDE but not against our Gators. The league has been screwing UF since before 1984.

I'm glad they lost. A&M, Vols so far are fun losses to watch. Proud of UF and the likes of Vandy, Arky (less so, but still) so far. Usually I'm all SEC but with our rebuild, it's nice to see the rest struggle and us finally finish on a high note.

One of the only reasonable posts, the SEC being elite directly benefits UF, what a weird thread. Jeremiah Smith went to Big 10 OSU, SEC teams losing isn't going to do anything to stop teams raiding Florida. Having fewer resources would just make it more difficult to stop it from our standpoint.

Then would you be in favor of swapping leagues with FSU?

I agree. But I’ll root for The University of Hell Flaming Beelzebubs against Georgia or Tennessee. Depending how I’m feeling about LSU, I might root against the Corndogs, too.

A lot of Gator fans used them as an example of why teams can win early with a new coach and the transfer Portal. Maybe Billy is on to something. Recruit and develop.

In your wildest imagination do you think I, if you are referring to me, think there is any team anywhere that means more to me than the University of Florida Gators? If you do you, you aren’t very smart at worst, just have no clue about who I am at best. If it’s the former, sorry for your mental capacity, if the latter, know me before you take it upon yourself to make a judgement like “Gator fans should care less about our rivals and more about our team”. That kind of stung GatorKnight5.

Our team is finished for the season. Just in case you didn’t know. And we have a right to be college football fans.
