Some, true but it happens every cycle with even the best programs. So we should lose some. But maybe most stay. I can imagine a few of our most hated rivals will pull a few of our guys if they enter the portal.

The pressure has not changed one iota.

What you thought was pressure wasn't.

Increased pressure should come over the post season as the University finds a new leader and the Athletic program gets an overhaul.

If true, the TG bombshell should ensure Strychnine gets fired ASAP

On second thought, I believe you're right about no pressure. CBN's demeanor since he was hired certainly seem to indicate that he feels his job is safe regardless of wins and losses.

Look, I’ll buy, even if I don’t agree with them, some of the arguments for gifting Napier a fourth season. The buyout, the situation with the President, the narrative of premature coaching changes, even the TG situation requiring us to keep undesired stability in another part of the Athletic Department. Got it.

But I don’t buy Napier gets a fourth year because he “deserves” it. He most certainly does not. What one deserves is a function of performance, and his has been abysmal. His performance has been so bad I’d like to tie him to the TG situation if I could and save big dollars on that buyout. What he “deserves” is to be fired unceremoniously. And that’s what’s going to happen by midseason next year. All we have signed up for, whatever the actual reason is, is for a lost 2025 Season. That is the way it is.

I wish he would have said “on pause” or “suspended” instead of “over.” Other than that, I agree. Studied, unemotional pulling of support is the only way to make Stricklin’s boss hear us. The Gators will be back someday. I hope that Bullgator is, too.

I don’t think the timing of the letter of support for Napier and the disclosure of the investigation of Golden is a coincidence. That seems obvious.
Personally, (right or wrong) I believe that the Golden allegations created a situation that allowed the administration at UF to say no to any thought of a Kiffin… or any other hire this year.
Napier may not be the long term solution for UF football struggles, but he does have a squeaky clean reputation (I know so did Joe Paterno).
I don’t know if Coach Golden is guilty of any of the allegations or not, but regardless… it’s a terrible look right now. Billy may not survive long term, but to the powers that be he, at least won’t add any additional sordid news headlines.
That may not be a good enough reason for many of us to keep him, but it does seem to reflect the current thinking of those that are making that decision.
