Have a bunch of family members in North Carolina -- all heels grads, so obviously they think Drake Maye (link to UF, brother won a national title in baseball) should win the Heisman and the heels should make the playoffs if they beat Clemson (assuming they get through the powerhouse that is NC State, scary...)

But here is my hot take -- the ACC is completely and utter trash. It's not even fair. If the gators had Clemson's or UNC's schedule we would be undefeated. Yes the Noles are playing better now, but not during there 3 game slide.

Both Clemson and UNC have lost to Notre dame -- Their 2 division leaders have lost to the same 8-3 opponent - 35-14 and 45-32. Heels scored 12 in the 4th quarter to make it look closer than it was.

I watched UNC vs Wake game, wake is terrible, maybe the worst defensive team I've watched all year, besides UNC. Looked like a high school game -- both coaches went for 2 and were chasing points, and both teams could have probably put the game away with field goals but instead they elected to go for it on 4th down and failed.

Yes Drake Maye is a beast, his numbers are insane -- but come on really. UNC gave up 61 to a 5-5 in app state team, and their division is borderline comical.
duke, pit, miami, ga tech, UVA and the Va tech.

Here is what bothers me, if both teams didn't play Notre damn, they would be sitting in the top 5-8 for sure and the winner would be in the playoffs. They still have a chance to sneak in, zero home field advantages outside of VA tech and Clemson, but VA tech right now is an all time low.

Say what you want, besides Vandy, winning on the road in the SEC isn't a cake walk. As bad as a&m is, they still are tough at home, same with Auburn.

The big question is why even schedule tough out of conference games anymore -- look at Oregon, the lost to the dawgs and now with another loss they are out of the picture.

sorry -- for the rant, just the imbalance of college football drives me crazy. Clemson for the past 5-8 years has had a cake walk to the college football playoffs. Playing tough opponents week in and week out is a completely different dynamic.

ACC is a bunch of Kentuckys and Missouris. Unfortunately, we aren’t in a position to cast any stones.
