The biggest differences, of course, is that Fox knew its claims about Dominion and the election were false and they kept it up for weeks or months because its execs knew that's what its viewers wanted. The ABC thing seemed like a one-time deal.

Due to the nature of New York law, in which rape requires him to have inserted his penis in her vagina, he was adjudicated to have committed Sexual Abuse, the crime in New York when you insert anything else into a woman's vagina against her will.

So, Donald Trump was only adjudicated to have inserted his fingers into E. Jean Carol's vagina against her will. So here is another sentence that is legally true "Donald Trump was adjudicated to have sexually abused E. Jean Carroll."

It's been suggested that ABC agreed to settle because the company's executives didn't want to antagonize Trump considering he will effectively control the FCC and the DOJ after he takes office and can make life very uncomfortable for the network. If ABC decided to litigate there is a very good chance that the network could have prevailed based on the statement of the judge in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case against Trump.

I never claimed he had the facts or law on his side, haha. A jury convicted him in a civil court of grape (what the kids call it on social media to not lose their account).

And I hope a life lesson I can teach my two young boys is the only way to win is never be in a situation where your name is ever even in question for grape.

New York's rape statute was extremely narrow, to the point of being archaic....penal/vaginal penetration. Partially in response to the E. Jean Carroll case, New York recently expanded its law to include far more contact. Under their revised rape statute, which does not apply to Trump, the conduct Trump was found to have engaged in would fall under the statute. Future injustice hopefully prevented.
