    Is that you...Donald?
Btw...for you and AZ Cat...it's not the Mexicans coming over right now.
They're too busy raping and stealing from their neighbors to the south.

Vacuum of leadership in Texas to solve actual problems. Sadly no term limit in Texas.

I see your posts, and I am just so grateful that I don't have people this full of hate in my actual life.

Burying the lede, even. They ordered the troops to push even small children and mothers with babies into the water. Disgusting, reprehensible behavior.

I'm anything but full of hate...just delivering the truth about a great country with no border.
This free-for-all human trafficking at the border is hurting lives on both sides of the equation.
You clearly have no regard for Americans dying from fentanyl nor the country sending it here.
But your tendency towards outrageous hyperbole is duly noted.

When's the last time the American border had a secure border with Mexico? Or Canada for that matter?

We can make our border issues better. By installing an expanded guest worker program. Anything else simply won't work.

Venezuelans, Cubans and Central Americans don't want a guest worker program.
They want the free stuff Soros and the Biden Administration promised them.

Source? Why would these immigrants be fundamentally different than all other immigrants who have come to the US over the millenia?

That's funny. Most Venezuelans and especially Cubans came here under prior administrations and certainly don't support Biden. Probably don't even know or care who Soros is.

They know what free stuff and citizenship means.
When the money and opportunity are flowing into your pocket you don't care about the source.

How does pushing babies into the water protect us from fentanyl?

We have several Cuban-American posters on this board.

Based on their posting history, I’d say Comrades 715 and 92Gator are definitely here in this country just for that sweet sweet Soros and Biden money. :emoji_joy: Oh… wait.

Some of you people just aren’t connected with reality. The funny thing about your post is that Cuban Americans certainly lean a bit right (in the case of the posters mentioned, not just slightly to the right, but to a seemingly John Bircher type irrational level of paranoia). But in your zeal to demonize immigrants you just lump them all in as commie takers. Definitely no racism there!

Personally, I think the vast majority just want to work hard and try to give their kids and grandkids a better shot at a future, even if that means working construction or working agriculture. Guess what, that was the motivation for literally every immigration wave that’s happened in this country, or even more accurately when Europeans first colonized. This is why it bothers me that some 2nd and 3rd gen of very recent immigrant groups (like Cuban Americans, who may have “illegally” come on rafts) would turn around and be hardline on immigration. We can’t have unlimited immigration, but we actually are not even accepting enough to keep up with our economy’s labor requirements. Do you even comprehend the fact that our economy is currently constrained by lack of labor? Do you *like* inflation or something?

Drug smuggling is a totally different deal from asylum seekers. Drug smugglers aren’t going to voluntarily turn themselves in and claim asylum. I would suggest the vast majority of drugs are smuggled in by more sophisticated operators, not migrants trekking on foot then wishing to seek asylum.

You are aware that almost all of the fentanyl entering the US is smuggled in through ports of entry together with legal cargo. Almost none of it is carried by illegal immigrants crossing the border. Some examples.
Fentanyl Seizures at Border Continue to Spike, Making San Diego a National Epicenter for Fentanyl Trafficking; U.S. Attorney’s Office Prioritizes Prosecutions and Prevention Programs
And a president who is actually addressing the problem.
Biden plans to scan 70% of cargo at border to intercept fentanyl

Two of my dearest sweetest girlfriends were Cuban-American while at University of Florida.
Both came here on a plane with not much more than the clothes on their backs and a doll.
As honor students, one is now an attorney and the other is a high-level banking executive.
I know their families very well and they are MORE American than most the posters on here.
My counterpoint was just that the USA was not very likely to be doing labor exchanges with
either of the Venezuelan or Cuban dictatorships....but perhaps I'm wrong.

How does fentanyl come into the US?

It's somewhat notable that during most of the history of the Castro regime Cubans fleeing the Marxist dictatorship were welcomed as heroes while Venezuelans fleeing an authoritarian Marxist state are treated as pariahs, a political stunt by a certain governor who transported Venezuelan asylum seekers from Texas to Massachusetts on the dime of Florida taxpayers coming immediately to mind.
