Do you think you are going to get qualified people who understand those agencies and their work that do not have conflicts of interest? Would you be OK with Jamie Dimon doing an audit with his JP Morgan team of the US Dept of Treasury?

Yes, I'm sure there are all sorts of qualified people who understand those agencies who don't have conflicts of interest. And no, I wouldn't be ok with Dimon auditing the Treasury, though he does at least have more integrity than Musk does.

And I'll ask again. Would you be comfortable with Musk gaining access to top secret DoD systems and data and blasting selected 'findings' and outing selected employees on X?

Anyone that you would want to be in charge of an audit of those agencies would be require to divest a decent amount of their portfolio for a short term job, which means they would likely not be interested in it. Especially if they recommend significant reductions and began implementing them, as we would be getting a similar reaction to what we are seeing to Musk's actions.

Which "Top Secret DoD systems" are you specifically referring to?

This is nonsense. There are plenty of people with expertise who aren't CEOs of companies doing lots of business with the federal government.

Do you honestly think anyone with that expertise would not be invested in the market in stocks that are impacted by the agency these people would be auditing, those automatically creating an OCI issue?

I'm not sure you would even be even to find someone that would be able to audit the Dept of Treasury that would not have an OCI issues. Since Treasury deals with Dollars, T Bills, and the US Mint. Even if you had someone who sold their entire stock portfolio, you could still have people claiming someone that heavily invested in cash or T Bills, would have OCI issues.

I'm sorry but it is your question, so please be specific on which systems you are referring to. If you do not know, then just say so. If you ask nicely, I'd be willing to help you out on it.

Of course I do. Do you think the only people with expertise on Medicare and Medicaid run health insurance companies?

Same access as the Sec of Defense has. That's pretty much what Musk is getting at other departments.

I'm sorry but you are still not specifying a specific system.

Same systems the Sec of Defense has access to.

Do you think the senior level experts you would want to audit Medicare and Medicaid, are not heavily invested in the healthcare and pharma industries? Do you think they would not have OCI issues doing an audit of the two largest players in those markets?

You tell me, and whatever those systems and classified information are, that's what Musk gets access to.

Yes, there are plenty of experts on Medicare and Medicaid who don't own large amounts of stock in United Healthcare or other insurance companies and healthcare providers.

Until you specify a specific system, there is no point in continuing this conversation. There is a reason I am harping on this.
