This is a good point. Now the goal should be to at least appear neutral or even reasonable.

I remember doing security work and the lead saying, I don’t care what your politics and religion are, leave them at home. They do not have a place in our work. Of course, this was pre cellphone and talk radio ;)

    No doubt. We're the ones paying his salary- so at least it might be appropriate that we're receiving the benefit of the time-suck-trolling;

"Tell me why it's so bad to eliminate fraud and do an audit? Why do you hate sunshine?"

Not me! It’s free comedy reading the unhinged posts. That’s how she/he contributes to society because there’s no way there’s time for employment.

I would also add that Musk will terminate the NHTSA investigation of the Tesla autonomous driving system in the near future if he hasn't already done so.

I worked for the Federal government for 38 years and there is a right way and a wrong way to reduce waste and insufficiency in the government. Clinton demonstrated the right way to do it. Musk is in the process of doing incalculable and irreparable damage to the government.

If they were qualified people who didn't have conflicts of interest with the department they were overseeing and who didn't blast out right-wing lies and propaganda on X about their 'findings' I'd be fine with that. But Musk is none of those things.

Would you be comfortable with Musk gaining access to top secret DoD systems and data and blasting selected 'findings' and outing selected employees on X?

If Clinton’s way was so perfect, why does it have to be done all over again?

It's been 30 years since Clinton did it and there's always room for improvement. That being said Musk has exaggerated the scope of the problem through half-truths and outright lies and his first priority is to cut costs even if it seriously damages the ability of government agencies to fulfill their missions.

we can't look at that or self drive by camera will not work and tesla stock will crash..eyee on the prize. destroy the regulatory environment, allow self driving by camera and AI, keep reports confidential

if they can't monetize the fleet of cars via robotaxi guided by cameras, they are cooked

no, we demadn the the HOR do their damn job. Remind me again who is inc harge of the HOR. Johnsonc an be attacking these reports and crafting elgislation and budgets to address them.

nope, shred the constitution, the separation of powers, the powers of the purse, give unfettered access to highly sensitive documents to a drug addicted eugenics racist and his muskettes to download and manipulate as they please and retain forever with no oversight because you don't want to ask congress to do their job..brilliant, just freaking brilliant. how did we get to that point where we are willing to throw away our democracy to try and defend the indefensible rather than admit we were wrong?

Couldn’t be more wrong. Self driving and robotaxis will be a sliver of the revenue Tesla produces in the next decade.

    BINGO

practically every agency he went after had fines or cases pending against him or oversight authority preventing him from little things like putting jetliners at risk, destroying wetlands and private property, violating workers rights, vioalting FCC and FAA laws, no self driving due to too many wrecks..little thing shat add up on the bottom line if not properly taken care of.

if tesla can't make self driving work their valuation tanks. can't fix the problem, change the rules and write the contracts to limit the liability

batteries could be key if they get in fron of the tec. agree on that

can't even get Xi to approve self driving but that rubber stamp ahs a little tariff problem, the sort of quid pro quo one would not expect in an advance open society

Elon Can't Seem to Get Full Self-Driving Approved in China

As Elon Musk leans the future of Tesla on his long-deferred dream of fully autonomous vehicles, its rollout of Full Self-Driving (FSD) is faltering in China, the automaker's second-largest market.

In September of last year, Tesla announced that FSD was expected to deploy to the company's EVs in China and Europe in 2025, pending regulatory approval.

But that plan hit a snag in China, which is now expected to delay the debut, according to sources tapped by the Financial Times, who were told by Chinese regulators that the timeline for FSD approval was "indefinite," after previously indicating approval by this spring.

It's another illustration of how Musk's outrageous political activities put his companies at risk. As his chief ally Donald Trump teases extreme tariffs on geopolitical foes and allies alike, the FT's sources claim that Beijing regulators are using FSD as leverage in a mounting trade war.

Humanoids will be 50x any self driving revenue. Once those get ramped up Tesla will be the largest company in the world by market cap and it won’t be close.

Tesla sold fewer cars in 2024 than it did in 2023. It's not looking that good for 2025 either.

You can believe what’s coming out of China if you want to. The only thing more certain to 10x from current price than Tesla is Bitcoin.
