I don't know how to post it, but it's easy to describe.

Musk, Putin and Trump are sitting at a bar. The caption is SELF-REFLECTION.

Musk says he wishes he hadn't bought Twitter.
Putin's says he wishes he hadn't invaded Ukraine.
Trump says Melania was wrong about Dr. Oz.

Like most good cartoons, it captures the essence of Trump: A sore loser narcissist who always blames others.

The cartoon doesn’t make sense as I don’t think either Musk or Putin regret what they did.

Sorry you miss the point. It’s not all that subtle.

I understand the joke. It’s a poorly constructed joke.

I didn’t miss the point, it just could have been made a lot better. Satire is only truly comical if it closely resembles truth. Do you think for one second Putin regrets invading Kherson? He’s likely plotting a strategy to re-take it as we speak.

It’s a poorly constructed joke that only gets points here because it’s taking a jab at Trump. And yes, I understand Trump always blames others. Putin is likely blaming others around him right now even more than Trump does or at least equally as much.

This is exactly what I was going to say. I don’t know much about the Musk-and-Twitter situation, but I doubt that Putin thinks he was wrong to invade Ukraine. His “regret” is that everyone around him is such an idiot and couldn’t execute his brilliant plan.

Speaking for self, I got the joke. And it’s a good hit on Trump. It’s still worth pointing out that Putin regrets nothing except for what he perceives as the failure of others, which is not dissimilar to Trump.

    The general assumption is:

Musk wanted out of the deal and twitter sued to make him keep his offer. That’s a good example of regret.

Putins invasion has been awful for Russia. 10s of thousands Russian lives lost, lower gdp, stronger nato, 10s of thousands fleeing the country, and unable to sustain victory on the battlefield to much lesser military power on paper at the start. Yes all logic will points to Putin regret.

there are pages and pages of discussion of these two issues in other threads. But right or wrong, this is the general conclusion of the vast majority. the joke is good. Actually it’s clever to lump them together like that.

btw in the joke I also like the details of trumps too long of a tie and coke. :)

I don’t have an issue with taking the shot at Trump. That part of the sketch was accurate. I think you are missing my point.

Do you even have a point? The only benefit I get reading your posts is how Republican apologists are going to try to spin the absolute rejection of the moral issues you support.

I don’t think Musk regrets buying Twitter and never thought he did. He used the pull-out as a failed attempt to get Twitter to negotiate a lower price, but I don’t believe for a second a guy like him went to all that trouble and money to regret it a few weeks later. I think even if Twitter was to die completely, he’d still not regret it. If SpaceX had failed, which it very nearly did, he wouldn’t have regretted that either. Part of being a true entrepreneur is not regretting your attempts at success. And I don’t think Putin regrets a damn thing. Even if Putin loses Ukraine, he’s happy because he made lives miserable. That’s just who he is.
