I work UT games and what coach H has brought to this program is a ton of scoring and fun to watch football. The stadium rocks with a party atmosphere funny how that works when a coach builds back a broken program in a year or two. UT could have scored 100 vs Kent State and believe me they love to run up the score. I miss those days.
Meanwhile BN has brought a funeral dirge to the swamp. Anymore it's like going, attending and leaving a funeral. It's not anything like UF football. Frankly, we are now bottom feeders in the SEC. I know the end is coming soon as it should but I'm equally concerned about the one doing the next hiring. Surely, SS cannot be the one doing the next hiring. I want the party back in the swamp and with the right coach it can happen.

SS has never pulled the strings. The power brokers have already made their decision on Napier and his successor.

This. Big money buys the next coach. Not SS.

From everything I've heard, it's Kiffin's if he wants it. We will make him say no. But I hope we let him say yes. ;)

That decision better include Scott Stricklin being fired.

Heupel was hired at UT 9 months before Napier and got a contract paying him an average of $4M per season.

I'm pretty sure he already got a sizable raise by now.

Yes. Was making a comparison to UF instantly giving Napier $7M. That’s not what the market was for non-Power coaches.

It needs to go much higher than it doesn’t go higher than Stricklin. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t really matter who they get as football coach.

Then SS is just a fall guy and firing him won't change anything because the "power brokers" are the ones making all these crappy hires.
