86 Man Roster as of 12/22/23: Who's on it? Update: 1/21- Roster Now at 85. Complete Roster Post #73

At least we have our position numbers roughly correct. Need some guys to develop and push the current starters. I'd still like to see us bring in an impact WR and S if possible.

it makes much more sense for true freshman to be counted in the recruiting class. Portal guys are supposed to be experienced guys that you feel gaps with so it is misleading

 

It’s like if you win a car you don’t want and decide to sell it back to the dealership, it has to be sold as used even though it never left the lot. Grimsley enrolled, so he counts as a transfer.

Well, it looks like we are at the right levels going into Spring training camp. Now, it should be just a one-for-one equation on those that inevitably choose to exit soon after O&B depth charts come out.

 

Spring practice starts tomorrow...So thought maybe we'd keep this going and organize the scholly list by class.

I still don't have the official redshirt list from 2023, but this is fairly accurate:

SR's = 23

JR's = 16

Sophomore's = 15 (that includes the freshmen that def did not redshirt)

RS Freshmen = 13 (this is where the #'s might shift, once we get an updated roster)

True Freshmen = 19

Yes, that is 86...which is where I have us as of today.

So based on the updated official spring roster, we're at:

SR = 20
JR= 21
Sophomore's = 18
RS Freshmen = 8
Tr Freshmen = 19

Total of 86.

 

There are a few disturbing #'s on that list that aren't a ringing endorsement of a high functioning weight training program:

• OL Damieon George Jr.: Up 12, 350 pounds to 362 pounds
• OL Kamryn Waites: Up 15, 350 pounds to 365 pounds
• DL Desmond Watson: Up 29, 435 pounds to 464 pounds
  
• DL Cam Jackson: Up 14, 360 pounds to 374 pounds
