Don't know about the long covid numbers but probably 900,000 out of the million deaths were over 65, so no.

Unemployment figures from the monthly employment situation have nothing to do with unemployment filings. It is survey data.

You realize that you don't need to just make up numbers, right? Because you are not correct in that guess.

How has/is the US done in handling inflation when comparing the rates to other top industrialized countries?

Pretty good guess since the 50-64 numbers were close to 200,000. What you wanna bet the majority were at the high end of that range.

No, it was a guess that missed by quite a lot.

If this is true than that is absolutely nuts. IT’s literally available from the uctf. We make payments to it every month

I posted this same info / source in a different thread… nothing can penetrate the bubble. There are people that believe inflation is only here in the US. It is confounding.

Not really for the exact reason you brought up: it would systematically underestimate the number of people without jobs because not everybody files. The employment situation is a broad set of measures and it is more accurate to sample a large group of respondents and ask them than it is to rely on flawed population-level data.

However we must remember that regardless how world-wide inflation is.... it's still all Biden's fault. SMDH

What we can blame is fiscal policy and comparative decisions by competing nations. That is a legitimate debate. Instead we have Biden inflation threads.

How about Biden is behind Japan threads in addressing inflation and coming through the other side? These are topics that can be discussed. Ideas can be debated.

So for real now, cause I never knew this, what is the margin of error on something like this? People polled could be drug dealers, they could be illegals? Or does it have to be polled by taxpayers on record?

There is a small margin of error. It is somewhat larger at first (because the preliminary data often isn't complete). That is why you tend to see at least two adjustments. After the adjustments, the margin of error is quite small because they interview a pretty big sample each month and engage in a lot of data collection activities that are designed to combat systematic misses due to missing data. Again, the idea here is that you would rather have an accurate measure with a margin of error but no biasing to a measure that we know is biased, but which we can't say what the systematic error is.

In terms of illegal immigrants and drug dealers, those are almost certainly picked up but in a way that is consistent and allows for easy comparisons (illegal immigrants do tend to have jobs at a high rate and drug dealers probably are split in whether they report that as a job or have other "jobs" to cover for being employed- they certainly don't count drug dealer as one of their possible jobs in the survey).

Biden gives us new evidence just about every day of his Presidency he’s unfit to lead the nation. You can blast the last guy all you’d like…knock yourself out. But if you haven’t checked, he’s no longer the Prez.

Maybe if Fetterman wins the PA Senate race then Biden will get a run for his money for the biggest mush mind.
