    This is the actual question:

Now, all in all, do you think things in the nation are generally headed in the right direction, or do you feel things are off on the wrong track?

You are the one who is spinning. Just tell the truth, it will not hurt, I promise.

If Biden, et all are all that, why in the world is his approval rating so low? The Afghanistan pull out was an utter disaster
by any measure. If you allow millions of people to walk into our country, it’s logical the quantity of apprehensions would be high. Nobody really reads these bills, certainly not the party that passes them. I’m sure we would be shocked at the pork, waste, paybacks hidden in them. (both parties do this and our representatives are to blame)
You can embellish his accomplishments to show he has been an effective leader but most Americans know he is way out of his league. He should been put out to pasture a long time ago. He is an embarrassment to our country.

The poll obviously doesn't say what the OP claims it does. It's a shame that some people don't feel they can make a coherent argument or even a conversation without falsehoods like that.

As a phony lifelong politician, Joe Biden has changed his mind on just about everything.

    1. Abortion: Biden used to pride himself on a “middle of the road” approach, supporting the pro-choice movement but maintaining that Roe v. Wade went too far. He also supported the Hyde amendment, which prevents federal funding for abortion, and voted to ban partial-birth abortions. He even voted to allow states to overturn Roe. Recently, however, Biden reversed his position on the Hyde amendment, and condemned efforts by states like Alabama to overturn Roe.

    2. Iraq War: Biden voted against the Gulf War in 1991, but voted in favor of the Iraq War in 2002. Like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, Biden regretted that vote later. Rather than backing a U.S. troop “surge” — which ultimately worked — Biden’s proposed alternative for Iraq was to partition the country into separate religious enclaves.

    3. Immigration: As recently as 2006, Biden told Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s Hardball that the U.S. should not grant “amnesty” to illegal aliens in the country, and that aspiring immigrants ought to be required to learn English. He also voted for a border fence — and told voters that he was proud of it. All of these positions are now broadly described as “racist” by Democrats, and Biden has revised his positions on amnesty (it is unclear where he stands on a border wall).

    4. Women: Biden has taken criticism from Anita Hill and other women about how he treated her during the 1991 confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Though he said privately at the time that he believed she was lying, he has now tried to make amends. Biden is also trying to change a pattern of behavior in which he touched, kissed, or sniffed women at public events — unacceptable conduct in the post-#MeToo era.

it seems like all those changes in position are more in keeping with the attitudes of most Americans. Changing your mind over time isn’t necessarily a shortcoming.

    A few things to this.
Reducing gas pricing isn’t necessary something to brag about. Plus the surplus he released is going to start running out soon. Then gas will begin to increase again.
Record border catches because he opened it up, then realized what a shit show he started, then decided to start catching them? It’s like chumming the water before fishing.
Record unemployment but still numbers in workforce are not as high as pre pandemic, so you got to ask yourself why is that? Are people just not working and not filing for it?

Remember, when you cut and paste from another site like that, the limit is four paragraphs and you need to include a link to the source where you got it.
    Thanks

Do Trumpers ever have anything new to add or is it always the same lame argument? Trump thought we should inject ourselves with bleach, the noise from windmills cause cancer, and once took a sharpie to change the trajectory of a hurricane because he got butt hurt that he looked like a moron on national tv when talking about where it was suppose to land, and of course, being completely wrong like he is on everything. You guys have no leg to stand on.

74% wrong track can't be a good omen for the dems going into the mid terms.

It depends. How many of that 74 percent are concerned about what Biden is doing and how many are concerned about the loss of abortion rights, the growing efforts to overturn legitimate elections, the rise of white nationalism ... ?
There's no way to know from that poll.

Personally, I think we are on the wrong track because people like the OP post on the Internet not knowing how to capitalize or punctuate.

When you get blamed for rising gas prices, there might be a tendency to say something positive when the gas prices start going down. As to opening the border, what does that mean? I know that people weren’t being allowed to stay in the U.S. when requesting asylum because they might be bringing in COVID-19, but didn’t that need to stop at some point under the law? Finally, as to a lower workforce, dead people from the pandemic generally are not out there looking for a job. Same goes for millions of people with long COVID-19.

That’s a fair response. There’s more to the border issue though than I think you want to admit. Covid deaths is an interesting take. Definitely worth consideration. I guess it would be how many that have died were still at the age to be in the workforce and have their numbers already been replaced by younger generations. Either way it’s definitely a fair point.
