Up to a 10 seed on Espn today. I’m still baffled that we aren’t getting more credit, but at least now we’re in the ballpark. Women's Bracketology: Big wins vault Notre Dame, Oklahoma into top 16
Want to give a shout out to Nina Rickards. She has been overshadowed by Lavender and Kiki these last few years, and we rave about Zippy and Berte as newcomers... she has just been rock solid for 3 years. Love her defense.
Yeah, I was actually there. It was brutal. But my daughter is in the NC State pep band, so we had fun anyway
I don't know much about our WBB history. Who are the top 5 players all time, and where might this season from Kiki wind up historically?
I'd imagine Delisha Milton-Jones and Murriel Page would be in almost everyone's Top 5. Not sure of the exaxt numbers but Kiki will definitely be up there in scoring for a season, and she is climbing the ranks of Gator history. One of my favorite players over the years. Her growth has been unreal.
Also need to point out there are a couple of posters who have been suspiciously silent since the program has been winning... almost like they weren't fans at all??? It's amazing how some winning brings out fans... and silences the fake ones.
I am so happy for these young ladies I could burst!! I am so glad they are having what seems like a great time together on and off the court. I am also glad they seem to trust and enjoy their experience with these coaches.. Kudos to the whole unit. I hope we go thump Georgia and they finally rank them!!! We almost beat them last time and Lav seemingly slowed us down in that last meeting. She seemed to be off in that game. Anyway.. Go ladies.. Go gators..
On the post game SEC Network the commentators listed their top 5 SEC playerss in the upcoming WNBA draft Kiki was in the top 5
That was a great win, against a marquee program. I too watched the Tennessee coaches press conference and liked what she had to say. Just so impressive the way this has been turned around so quickly. Even more impressive considering all they have been through. Im sure they are working on the contract that will remove the interim label, and for good reason.
Keep winning and their seeding will move up. They would be a very dangerous 10-seed cause no 2-seed would want to play them in the 2nd round knowing how potentially good they can play.
It kind of stinks that the top 16 seeds get to host on their home courts. I get it that the NCAA is trying to generate big crowds, but it sure is a lopsided advantage.
