I agree BN never had a running QB so AR not running shouldn't be used as an excuse. AR still ran more than any of BNs QBs at UL. Play calling and time management which is part of the slow offense definitely had an effect.
McNeese St is a must win. I don't think we will lose but if it isn't a 50 pt or more blowout then that won't bode well for SEC play.
Billy had one QB in Levi Lewis. Hard to gather a ton of data from that. I think we are on the same page in thinking Billy has some room to grow. What we disagree with is the play calling which I think is fine. The other issues like time management or sense of urgency or that killer instinct…I think we can all agree he needs improvement there.
Yep, Travis is a play maker. I think Daniels is a play maker also tho. A lot of busted plays turning into first downs. S/b an exciting finish.
This has probably been discussed here but I got a really funny vibe from AR, like he just did what he wanted. When he made mistakes (pretty often) and coaches were trying to talk to him he just stared off into the distance with a strange, dismissive look on his face. He didn’t seem particularly coachable.
We needed him to show up to win some of those games. He made a business decision to protect himself. Can’t blame him, but it sure seem that way.
