    The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened mental health worldwide, including in the U.S. Widespread lockdowns and economic recession led to unemployment and disrupted daily life. Three years on, mental health issues persist despite resuming normal activities.

    Pew Research Center surveys from March 2020 to September 2022 reveal that 41% of U.S. adults experienced high psychological distress, with young adults (58%), women (48%), and lower-income households (53%) being most affected.





    That explains a lot

    White liberals more likely to have a mental health condition
    White liberals are more prone to mental health disorders than individuals who identify as conservative or moderates, according to a Pew Research Center survey.

    Sixty-two percent of Whites who classify themselves as “very liberal” or “liberal” have been told by a doctor they have a mental health condition, as compared to 26% of conservatives and 20% of moderates, the study found.

    Young White people who identified as “very liberal” were almost one and a half times more likely to report mental health problems than those who considered themselves “liberal.”

    I know the article is old, but I didn't want to leave the liberal men out, you guys are nuts also

    You do realize that conservatives by nature are less likely to seek mental health evaluations. We tend to be a bit of the old school, bootstrap types. Heck, me included. The guys driving the big F350 is t as likely as the woman driving the Prius to think they need help and to seek the help they need.

    My guess is any numbers are likely based on that.

    My guess (since that is all we are doing here) is that if everyone had MH evals, the numbers would be pretty similar.

    I never heard that before, not saying it's not true just doubt that. So, I disagree agree with you, liberals are more likely to have mental disorders
