   Typically, things that are bad for tourism are good for ecosystems. People see dollar signs over taking care of their local ecosystems in many areas. I'm not saying this is necessarily the case in this particular instance, but a decrease in tourism is almost always good for a local ecosystem. Capitalism vs. environmentalism....
