Assuming you are a Gator fan: same reason why kids will probably want to play for FSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Ole Miss,...Their defenses suck, and they can get PT soon. Oklahoma , again, may have the worst defense in the country. We think we're the only team in America and scrutinize our team to the point folks wonder who is and is not a real Gator fan.
It isn't the dadgum "scheme". There isn't some magical scheme discovered in the Amazon that will stop any offense. It takes good players who are coachable and have a brain. If I think I am one of those, I don't care about going to a place whose defense sucks because I think I can be the difference. One of our worst D's in history, at the time, was in 2007. With experience and some added parts, we had the best D in the country in '08.
Some of these recruits know a lot better than us fans. They know it's good players with good coaches. Any combination other than that probably won't work real well. These guys are good players. They believe, unlike some of our "fans", that we have good coaches. They think they can be the difference.

Not necessarily. They still have to put it all together. Look at Al of the talent bama has and they gave up more points to Tennessee than we did

While this is true, it's mind boggling what two lock down corners may do for a defense.

It opens up so many more options for the defensive coordinator.

Then combine that with a run stuffing front and suddenly a defense is solid again with the potential to be great.

Think Joe Hayden and Co in 08 and 09.

We won 24 of 26 games and it wasn't all because of Tebow and Harvin.

We had a great defense.

This is not gonna happen. I say we focus on the six we have already and find some LB/DL help.

We beat Alabama for Castell and Thornton while Denson is still being pursued by everyone. Johnson was originally committed to Ohio State. I believe our DB class is great already.

 

True but we all want that cherry on the top. Our secondary is horrendous and this class is already good. One of ricks or Cormani makes it elite
