What does a confidence level of 55% mean? 6 out of 11 times he will go to Bama? Its as good as a coin toss.... Maybe he polled 11 of his experts and 6 of them said Bama? These confidence levels are absurd.

 

Agree, but I think McCain is waiting on Ricks decision, before he announces. Him not visiting Bama has me thinking they aren’t a choice or they’d already be. Same goes for Colorado. He’d already pick them at this point, if it wasn’t UF or Miami.

Maybe it’s a me thing and he wants the attention on him again, when he does choose.

247 had 100% crystal balls for Rashada to Miami. These services don't know shyte and if they are wrong there is no downside or accountability.

 

They‘ve been wrong so often this cycle it’s a wonder anyone actually pays for that crap.

I actually really like the confidence levels. I think we’ve been too attached to simple yes or no declarations, but nature rarely provides such neat demarcations. This goes for things we know (e.g. are viruses alive?) as well as conjectures (e.g. what will be Earth’s temperature in 50 years? Or what school’s hat will a given 18 year old American male affix to his head in 48 hrs?).

I know that 55% confidence seems like a cop-out in some ways, but it gives an honest signal of the perceived quality of his intel. And with so many schools out there, 55% is sometimes indicates a rather bold prediction.

 

I can't imagine why anyone would pay for that garbage if they were 100% right every time.

 

All those crystal balls for Rashada were from back in June right before he committed to Miami. They weren't wrong. They just weren't updated after that point.

 

Guys…we need to not get our hopes up here.
