5* CB Desmond Ricks down to UF, LSU, and Bama. Commitment date 12/23/22

In light of the Rashada flip today it begs the question... have we really missed on CM yet or are we just waiting for the right pitch before we knock it out the park?

 

The whole McClain trolling is a huge reason why some on here, including myself, aren’t willing to be as optimistic. If you’re that optimistic then more power to you. I’m not gonna judge your enthusiasm or opinion on the matter because my opinion is clearly speculation.

There’s no question that NIL is going to be a thorn in our side. With money being involved it will clearly allow people like Ruiz (Miami) to purchase players. Sometimes I feel like one of the few when I state that Napier shouldn’t get into bidding wars for hyped but unproven recruits. Napier said he wasn’t and I 100% support him.

Ironically, I just typed this response after reading Rashada flipped to UF. That’s great news! I just hope we still regard our roster as top priority before a recruit.

If Ricks does commit to UF and SIGN here in December then I’ll be the first to eat crow.

 

The white on white uniforms has always been my favorite combination. I think it’s one of the best in college football.

 

With 6 weeks b4 ESD we can do some serious cruiting if we are serious about $$$

 

That's possible, but I'd like for us to land Ricks either way.

Miami is done... they will not get anymore players that we're leading for, and they will not flip one of our current committed players. That only counts for players that we don't "let go" behind the scenes.

I think we have a great chance of landing Ricks..

 

All of this can be summed with….this is recruiting. Recruiting ain’t for amateurs

Don't tar and feathered me but I wish we still wore the white helmets every so often. That all blue jersey/pants with white helmet is such a clean look IMO. Like the all white w/ white helmet too.... but yes our original all white with orange helmet is one of the best.

 

Wow, are we still calling Eli and Desmond brothers? Is ESPN still posting? Crazy, I could have sworn that I clarified this when i posted the names of both their mothers and fathers and the fact that they are from opposite sides of the country. They are not blood!!!!

Maybe we value some others similarly to him and didn’t want to shoot our wad on one recruit.
