Maybe, maybe not but I'll accept that to a degree because we definitely didn't have the institutional support to go under the table the way those other programs did but Mullen had a track record of not being fond of recruiting st miss state or while at Florida as OC so for me, there's more history on Mullen just not being interested in recruiting.
And yet somehow he got at least 2 really good NFL players (Chris Jones and Dak Prescott) while at Moo U.
Michigan will be 6-6. I heard a rumor that their HC doesn't have a full on contract to be their coach. Anyone know anything about that?
While Chris Jones was highly regarded out of high school, Dak was not. He was a three star that both LSU and Texas passed on.
Billy might be able to accomplish that this year with this DJ kid showing him the way. Just like Clemson, the Gators are one GUY at QB away from making their HC look like a genius without changing a thing. As Switzer once said, "It's the Jimmies and Joes, not the X's and O's."
2 guys from several years of head coaching one of whom wasn't highly rated out of high school. Mullen runs circles around Napier as a play caller but his recruiting has always been suspect and it's well known that even Tebow came here despite Mullen not because of him.
Michigan HC Sherrone Moore does not have a new contract since being elevated to HC when khaki pants bolted to the league. The only thing the school is saying is that they’re “looking into some things”. It likely stems from all the staff shenanigans last year. It’s virtually unheard of in college football for a HC to be working without a contract. Me thinks they might be looking for a way out, now.
I'm sure he thinks they will honor a hand shake agreement and all that, bet he's in for a surprise when they can him with no buy out.
