This bothers me. I’m seeing more and more players just step out of bounds instead of putting their head down and initiate contact to gain extra yards. This is an epidemic of wussies that has me shaking my head.

USC is one of those former powerhouse programs such as Nebraska whose time has passed. They simply aren’t a destination with cache for kids these days like they were in the past. They stay in the national conversation on reputation and history.

Don't look now but the Corndogs are susceptible to the run.

 

So why is USC hurrying up to run plays at the end of the half? I thought you were supposed to sit on your timeouts, run a couple of nondescript running plays and let the clock run? After all, they are tied and if they play conservative enough they won’t lose by too much if they play their cards right.
