If Abdullah sticks (he was teammates with Myles Graham) I have no idea who gets the last spot/s. I feel like Vernell is the top target but Caleb Cunningham is right there with him. But some of those listed as "warm" have a CBs. Any inside scoop on how the coaches view the WR board? To heck with defense! Offense wins championships!!!
I don't think VB 2 was a pro player with the associated money bags, so I would look for VB 3 to go to a school that offered him the highest NIL. Maybe if we are in the vicinity NIL-wise perhaps that he is a legacy could tip him our way.
VB2 got that big settlement check so he should be rolling in dough! Vernell was a great Gator and has been involved with our program in many aspects since he graduated. I imagine he would love to see his son play for UF but I am sure he’s smart enough to let his son make the decision that is in his best interest. Go Gators!
He He’s listed at 5’11”, 170. Jr was 5’8, and weighed 160 when leaving college. Probably 140-150 out of hs.
He's managing AR now (after working at UF for years), so probably doing well. VB2 daughter is on UF track team, his youngest daughter is a terror on the track for her young age group
Would love to see us balance the WR room by adding some size. Speed is great to have, but you need a couple big body 6'3+ types as well
Word is he did not pass his Physical. Was looking forward to this one. Pretty sure we’ve moved on from WRs this portal cycle.
We have some huge recruiting weekends right around the corner. May 31st the first big one....then June 7th followed by June 14th. The WR talent scheduled to visit is impressive. Time for Katie and Bri to work their magic.
he has a back issue - herniated disc or some such. Elected not to have surgery. Played with it some of last season with no ill effects from my understanding though I could be, and often am, wrong.
ahh, I heard some chatter on this. There were questions on how bad it was. If a Graham type of injury, he could still be a take. Thanks for the info. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
I’m just not sure there is anyone good enough to come in and be a #2. I just don’t see it. Dike, with time, could step up, considering his connection with Mertz. I just don’t see an outside portal guy beating out Burke. Mizell or Dike. JMO.
