2025 Spring Camp (Miscellaneous)

Webb didn't play in the scrimmage and Turner isn't on the roster at this time.

 

Hey D…back before spring practice started, Brown( jc transfer) was mentioned as a promising defensive tackle at 6’7” and 300#. As per usual, no news forthcoming. Any vibes on if he might be a real contributor?

 

Good post and question. Not a lot of buzz out of camp so far. McClain, Lovett and Woods have gotten some buzz. A little for Dallas Wilson and the ILBs, too. Pretty quiet after that.

Nothing good or bad on Brown. He’s there with Shivers as the next two DTs after the first four (Banks, Lyons, Robinson & Boireau). We’ll see what’s said about him after Saturday’s scrimmage and the O&B game on 4/12.

Another guy that had some pre-spring buzz was Wangoy. He’s been quiet, which is OK. He’s green as grass, playing just one year of football before joining UF last fall. He’ll break in this year and compete for a two deep spot in 2026.

 

Looking stout. S&C getting it done.

 

This is becoming a big story.

UF returns a lot of talent on the DL/edge and this HS Sr. is the one giving the OL the most trouble in spring... amazing.

 

We do have some Edge guys that look good getting off the bus, including Woods.

 

Yesterday’s scrimmage?

 

Not sure if they had one. They seem to be off their spring schedule a little. They were suppose to have scrimmages the last three Saurdays of spring with the O&B game as the 3rd scrimmage on 4/12.

They didn't actually have their first scrimmage until this past Tuesday. So, yesterday they may have done some other 11 on 11 stuff other than an official scrimmage .

The O&B game is this coming Saturday. We'll learn a lot then.

 

Nice to see that Napier can actually improvise.
