I'm totally fine with our draw and region....I think we take them all behind the woodshed. Every other good team in our region is from east of the Mississippi, so I don't think we'll have a crowd disadvantage - which means they'll be true neutral games. I think that bodes very well for us All that said, the committee is lazy as hell...and they certainly keep their criteria for choosing brackets in the dark...and no way we're #4 overall as of this moment....but I think we did pretty well with our region all things considered
Reason I ask is I just went to the CBS bracket and my user name popped up - with a link to my bracket panel. Of course it's not active for this year - yet.... I think it was Davis who did it last year.....
I could do with not having the passibility to play Mizz again. Not that I fear them, I just don’t want to play them again
This is totally fair. We can complain about being disrespected (like I have) by being given the lowest 1 seed, but overall looking at it we got a decent draw. There are some in there I'm like oh great. Missouri can get hot and are hard to put away, freaking UConn again and crazy seeing Pitino in there with a 30 win team. Arky played us within 8. Memphis and Texas Tech are really good. Definitely land mines laying around. But we are really, really balanced and hard to stop. Just hope we get the better match ups each game
Borzello from ESPN did say this about our region: WEST REGION ANALYSIS This is the toughest region, bar none. Before the field was announced, I made a short list of teams I could see myself picking to make the Final Four -- only seven teams made the cut. And four of them are in this region. There's not a team in the country playing better than Florida right now, but as the fourth 1-seed, the Gators have a brutal path to San Antonio: a second-round matchup with the two-time reigning national champions, followed by a potential Sweet 16 game against Maryland, followed by an Elite Eight game against either St. John's or Texas Tech. I think they'll get there, but it won't be easy. He may or may not be right - he is right about those being tough teams or historically tough teams, but I think it's tough to tell how well they stack up against us or other SEC teams. I'm not taking any game for granted though and I'm sure our team isn't either. One loss and we're out, so we have to come out on fire every game and really be in sync on both sides of the ball, take care of the ball and rebound like madmen
