Dumb question but will Asa Turner be eligible next year if he does not come back and play this year? Regrettably the young man has been smitten by the injury bug his entire career.

QB Tramell Jones who is CB to Florida and
WR Ffrench are HS teammates.
Last year we flipped DT Robinson from Texas (from Florida)
Charles is 6'4 295
Would love to get him

technically we didn’t flip Robinson. He signed with Texas. Transferred to UF in January after being released from his NIL.

I don’t think Ffrench is that much into UF but Charles was at one time.

 

He was a 2019 and should have an extra covid year, so he should be able to, but would he, and will he get a lot of playing time over Gates, Denson, and Thornton? I don't like his lateral movement, but i would prefer Thornton over Castell with Turner on the field also.

 

"Suck tax" is a great term and needs to become a saying.

 

Just add it to the price but any roster minus a few guys, can be bought.

 

I would like to see Gator Podcasters use the "Suk Tax" term on their broadcasts............. LMAO

This is one i would really like to steal....wish we had been more interested in the other cocoa guys Boggs and Hart. Hart was my qb preference for next year

 

Nil bags are back on the table and all of the sudden, bigtime players are interested again. Big surprise right. Hopefully some of those bags are big enough for some of tgese kids. It would be awesome if we oicked up a handful of these elite guys. I agree with no bidding wars as that sets a bad precedent and gets tge wrong type of pksyer/culture. Get some more character guys like DJ. Im dure DJ got a huge deal but hes also stuck with us and is an admirable kid.

 

Whatever it takes, Billy needs some "good-uns" to get us back to the Gator Standard!

 

Watch all of them against Venice HS earlier this season. Boggs reminded me a awful lot of Badger, from a talent standpoint. Hart can make all the throws, but he's purely a pro style QB. Venice was never really able to put any serious pressure on him that night so I never got a sense of how he handled pressure. Hilson that night against Venice didnt really do anything that stood out, he looks like he'll need to put some weight and muscle on, at the next level. He always played until the whistle and displayed some nice speed with his backside pursuit on a number of different ocassions.

Yeah...I assume the tepid approach on Hart was them wanting more dual threat. I probably lean to him since he is a legacy athlete
