I would say, not really. 17 year olds with staffs, friends, already signed players, family all in their ears. They aren't ready for the business side of this era. Do these kids have representation or I wonder if most are on their own cutting deals?
I don't see this as a flip as I think the kid has coasted since getting a 5* as a JR. He has been slipping in the last year. I think he'll end up at Syracuse or Nebraska.
If you’re saying most kids recruited have parents that can guide them morally, okay. That would be a good situation and might prevent a player or two from leading a staff on. But in today’s recruiting landscape it is more business and contract oriented.
Not most but some percentage have sound guidance. There are many kids that don’t play games nor create drama and bad attention. Life is business but there’s a way to conduct business. You can almost tell the ones that will be successful and the ones that will be broke or traded from team to team.
