Nebraska football recruiting: LB Willis McGahee IV, son of former Pro Bowl RB, commits to Cornhuskers
LSU knows how to recruit. They bring in legends to network with recruits and we have a top 4 OT from California visit UF the Saturday afternoon the O&B game tell reporters he could only meet with Bateman, as everyone else was off for the day. Crazy. As Tim Tebow said, hard sork beats talent when talent does not work hard. No off days in recruiting.
Yeah, I don't know these kid's initials either. Didn't know Van Dykes first name was Tyler. Now if they just used his last name initials I would intermediately know who he is and where he played last year. Everyone knows VD is from Miami...
I would hate being a college coach. Sure, the money is great but the unrealistic fans would drive me nuts. However, having to deal with 18-22 year old athletes that post their every feeling/emotion/thought and then demand compensation for their services, would drain the life out of me. No thanks.
I hate FSU as much as the next Gator fan does, but if I were an FSU fan and I saw a commit say this, i'd be HEATED Heck even as a Gator fan reading this, i'm not falling for this cause this seems like an obvious troll for attention to boost a recruiting "win" over UF if he does stick with FSU
Yes, I suppose that is possible. By watching his highlights it is also very possible that he does not have a committable offer from UF. I am sure we have at least a couple of guys we are working on in the slot who are ahead of him. He has some speed and catches some tough balls. If I was him, I don't know that I would want to sit behind Wilson in '23 and ____ from his class to find some pt.
More SEC kids drafted each year and more in the NFL each year. You have to play the best to become the best. By choosing FSU, he reduces the statistical probability of making it to the NFL. T choosing FSU, he chooses a lower academic school, he chooses a a school with a lesser national brand, …. His coach has been at FSU for several years and has not produced much NFL talent. The FSU HC Norville has an awful record against ranked opponents. They don’t play as many in the ACC, so not as much opportunity to get better. Smaller stadiums and less fans in ACC, no national network coverage, and lesser quality coaches in ACC. Lower Tv contract so can’t reinvest as much in athletes and facilities. Wish him luck as he controls his own destiny via the choices he makes
