Both are really good throwing, but he probably fits better at TN anyhow. Lagway is the better pickup, and if Simmons reclassified I would also want Simmons more.

 

He probably already knows more than his daddy did on offense.

Merklinger plays for a small school, meaning it will take a year or so to catch up.

 

They got a lot to sell to WRs.

 

Because he is an excellent passing QB coming out of a passing offense. And he can scoot.

From the hudl I have seen Lagaway's offense has QB doing designated runs out of the shotgun and the offense relied on him to scramble to throw or take off to make plays down field.

I guess we will see come Elite 11 who will judged as the better thrower?

 

Carlos Delrio looked like a 5 star at the Elite 11, so who gets judged as a better passer means little to who you should recruit.

 

Only thing to cast doubt about in QB recruiting is the Rashada saga/wreck and lingering doubts over whether Mertz can perform on game day

 

Maybe he should take his own advice about staying home.

But obviously those 2 are signing with OSU. They don't lose Ohio players that they actually want.

 

Ohio State is absolutely loading up.. unfortunately like always they will lose to an SEC team for the national title.

 

He's committed to the Vols.
