Duke is so long on defense, Houston struggled to get anything inside. They better find something in the 2nd half because I don't see them getting a ton of TOs and fast break pts.

IMO this is a fan-based statement that takes away the effort made tbh Houston to TAKE what was needed to win, just as to say UConn or TT “choked” diminishes what was needed by our players to TAKE it from them. Houston was one of the 4 best teams, statistically, in the last 10 years. Commentators may have been awed by Dukes pregame impressions (I know I wholly expected Duke to win also) but the UH players didn’t allow that to dictate their effort.

Each time we play Hurley, Pearl, or Barnes, the narrative is that coaching experience will be the difference. Even some posters here said this.

I would argue that Golden out coached all of them at halftime.

Golden has been brilliant. I would have doubled broome in the second half but he stayed the course and it was the right decision. That’s why he makes the big bucks!

And it even spilled out into the streets (so to speak):

Brawl breaks out at Hoover Buffalo Wild Wings after Auburn’s Final Four loss to Florida

I can honestly say I wasn't there but it's actually a posh area, surprised it happened. Never see this after an Iron Bowl. They are saying it had nothing to do with the loss - yeah right. Probably a Bama fan said something to the effect, "you guys can't do anything right, you lost your best chance at getting a national championship in any sport and choked".

Um, there are these folks in the "Nether-regions" of northwest-ish Europe who have a somewhat differing opinion. But I do get your drift. Diligence is NOT an American trait, at least in the long haul.

Those folks in Europe don't get hit with regular hurricanes and have to have their cities rebuilt with taxpayer money.

I am afraid that modesty, and the fear I may frighten all the ladies I come up upon due to my "assets", prevents me from wearing such an outfit outside in public.

Besides, how could I wear an item such as that if it is wash day and all my socks are in the dirty clothes hamper? I guess I could just use a hand towel. That is if there are any clean hand towels. Somehow, they seem to get, um, dirty faster than my socks. Maybe I should stay off the "Sweet Spring Blossoms" thread in the Pub. It is...compelling.

Have you ever heard of the North Sea? It isn't the Gulf of America in the winter.

I saw it this morning. He continues to impress. I believe he can be an excellent pg for us next year with off season work and a hairstyle that will keep his beautiful locks out of his eyes. If we bring in a hot shot pg then Zell will be excellent at the 2. And/or switching.

I got a chance to watch the Houston-Duke game. Yes, Duke blew it big time. I also thought the refs were very biased against Houston until it went to to the end. Gotta believe the refs in college just aren't prepared to handle this level of skill. In the NBA, they have to go with reputation to fill in the blanks. This tourney does not allow it. Just have to endure.

IMO, the two mentally toughest teams are playing in the NC. I can see us running away with it, as we haven't been totally on in any game. But I can see a similar game as they played against Duke. It should be VERY entertaining.

Um, if there are any noble Duke elites perusing this forum, could you maybe send some of your wealth my way? I won't even ask for a single game amount for the least of your freshmen. Talk about a severe waste of money...
