But did they deserve it? I felt we played to 2 different sets of rules, UConn can play rugby and we get called for hand checking.
Hand checking is now a foul. You can touch the dribbler with one hand but you cannot push the dribbler with that hand anymore.
Colorado State versus Maryland for the next Gator opponent. Maryland is a much better squad but Colorado State has Nique Clifford and he is really good. And Colorado State is on a major roll.
Duke is pretty good. Proctor is putting on a shooting clinic. I don't know if anyone is beating them with the way they are playing, but I would love the chance.
Duke is for real...stomping pretty much everyone since the conference schedule started. Since the Clemson loss, they have won almost every game by double digits except for when Cooper Flagg went down in the ACC tourney.
Since they are top 33 in kenpom and won 20+ games, etc. Georgia laid an egg, but half the teams will lose in the first round and GA was the weakest SEC team in the field (or maybe Texas). I wouldn't quibble if you said 10 or 11 SEC teams, but you said 8-9.
Seems like UK as a 3 seed got an easier second round draw than Florida as a 1 seed. Illinois looks terrible.
Illinois has been like that all season. One game, they could hang with Michigan St, the next can't beat LSU. There was a stretch of games where they beat Mizzou, Arkansas, Wisconsin, lost to Tennessee by 2 points, beat the crap out of Oregon, pounded Michigan but laid a few eggs too. Typical 6 seed.
Not sure if it has already been mentioned, but Kentucky is the only team on our schedule that we haven't beaten this year. For that reason, I really want them in the final game.
I root for IL - my second fave team, but feel you are right. I expected them to lose to TX or Xav, but IL was really good in the round 1 game. If they don't turn it up quick, they gonna get blown the heck out by UK.
