I think it will come down to whether or not we make shots, how well we defend, the rebounding +/-, turnover +/- and FTM +/-

OK, Pitino at St. John's as a potential regional finals opponent is interesting, but I fear Michigan State more, so I'm happy to not have Sparty as my #2 seed. Or Alabama for that matter.

OK, Memphis is a pretty good #5 seed.

But UConn is our #8 seed? I haven't seen them play all year and I know Castle and the 7-footer are gone. Can anyone tell me what they think of the Huskies this year?

No matter what, I'm so proud of this team.

If we play our best I fear no one. The SECT should remove any doubt by player or fan.

The only team that can beat the Gators is the Gators.

    I am hoping Memphis stumbles.

Buddy/Colleague of mine is a Maryland Twerp and he went from talking about LAX 24/7 to basketball after the Lady Gators eliminated them from their LAX tournament last year.

As much as listening to LAX drivel made me want to gouge out my eardrums, I'd like my annoying friend back. It feels like the body snatchers got him.

So let's have a crack at eliminating the crab cakes, shall we?

UConn will always be coached well. McNeeley is a stud. Karajan is very solid. Ball has outstanding offensively. Reed and Diarra are solid at their roles. But Johnson and Mahaney haven’t given them anything at all really. And their defense is worse than ours last year. As a matter of fact, they are a less experienced replica of our team last year.

From a metrics standpoint, Memphis is by far the worst 5 seed. They're 51st in KenPom, next closest 5 seed is Oregon at 31.

In our top part of the bracket, just looking at KenPom: We got the worst 5 seed, 8 seed and 9 seed. We got the best 4 though. If it goes chalk, UF/Maryland would be a fun and interesting S16 game.

I think Uconn can get out and score, good offensively, but they took major steps back on defense. I wouldn't be too shocked if OU doesn't beat them in round 1. I don't think either team can hold UF under 85 pts. Beat OU at home by 20, without Condon and Martin coming off the bench just back from his hip pointer.

pitino hasn’t seen Clayton much in 3 years, though he did see him last year in Madison sq Gardens and joked afterwards that he still can’t play D. I’d say that Rick Barnes knows more about Clayton than Pitino and how did that fare for him.
