Maybe universities now are pulling back support for a coach they don’t like anymore, and don’t want to fire or pay any remaining years on their contract. Now they have a coach they like, and the support gets turned back on?
I listened to SVPs pod, and he mentioned that Willard basically got everything he asked for, but was already gone. So it sounds like the support and funds were raised, but he had already made up his mind to leave.
