Motivated to win, DJ Lagway is the nation's top uncommitted QB in 2024

The elite junior quarterback had originally planned for an April commitment. He’s since moved up that timeline to January so that he can get a headstart assembling a recruiting class around him and forging those relationships.

“He’s raved about the environment in the Swamp and being a priority there,” Miller said of his quarterback. “There’s no way to say Florida hasn’t done the best job recruiting him. Everyone is doing a great job and you can’t miss from these colleges, these atmospheres, and these educations, but Florida has done a good job from a cultural standpoint. They blow him up on Twitter and they have fraternity and sorority houses hanging signs for ‘Lagway To the Swamp’ and 100,000 people screaming his name. They’ve done a good job letting him know he’s the dude we want and to make him feel at home.”

The sooner the better as all the qbs rated above him I guess have already committed. It’s never too soon tge get tge nucleus of a class started.

We know how important having a great QB is for any school that wants to excel. Since HS QBs are becoming more and more important to sign early and form recruiting classes, what will their dollar worth be in the near future and beyond? Seven and then into eight figures? Seems inevitable even though many will not produce on the field.

Will QBs and other high profile recruits get training on how to recruit others? Social media help from school staffs? Help on what to do on recruiting trips for recruiting against? Already happening?

Isn't he visiting Clemson? Hope the Orange wasn't a "wink, wink." CBN really needs to land his commitment.

If there is any criticism about this years recruiting cycle for CBN and staff, I think this would be it.

Yeah KG - may hold the key to future success in many ways. Hope we get em early and he starts recruiting for us.

Maybe Max is the man. If Stokes isn’t, he better be. Napier may need a great qb by year 3-4.

starting to feel this way too. I think the offense has been solid although unimaginative at times yet it’s still productive. We shoot ourselves in the foot offensively more than defenses stopping us. A passer like Lagway opens up the playbook a lot more than it currently is imo

Yeah I’m starting to think that AR is just a (much) better version of franks, same skill set. Big arm mobile QB that lacks the touch to be a complete passer.

Maybe Atlanta can draft him and form a deadly 3 headed Florida TE room too

Some quarterbacks need time to develop and improve, just like other positions. Some fans think quarterbacks need to have that rare ability to excel the moment they hit the field. My gut says AR will improve, unless he rots on an NFL bench.

Would be obviously sweet if he becomes a Gator, but ever moreso if he commits in January (before signing day) and our 2023 O recruits know they'll be playing with him their 2nd year. We have recruiting momentum right now and adding McClain and a couple of the other D recruits this year along with Lagway will keep that going into 2024.

That's why he moved his commitment date up. He knows the importance of getting the ball rolling.

I agree, but I want a Bryce young. Getting old that all of our QBs have to be a project. Regardless of the end product
