Yeah, such a weird way to cry "look at me, look at me". Has to be a sad life.

It's been a good Olympics. Here is a moment to remind you many of the competitors are just kids.

Funny. I anticipate not many know what biting the medal is referring to.

Although it's not over yet it looks like the US will win a gold medal in Women's wrestling in the 68 kg class. Amit Elor's record so far.
Round of 16 - 10-2 win over Buse Cavusoglu Tosun, TUR
Elor's first-round matchup was against the top seeded, 2023 World Champion Tosun out of Türkiye. Elor controlled the match from start to finish taking a 5-0 lead in the second period. Elor continued her domination using her control ties to force Tosun on the activity clock to earn another point. Elor gave up a late takedown but also earned two takedowns of her own to win her first bout, 10-2.

Quarterfinal - 8-0 win over Wiktoria Choluj, POL
Elor's quarterfinal win over Choluj was similar to her opening-round match. Elor controlled from start to finish using her two-on-one and underhook to pressure Choluj into stepouts and taking bad shots.

Semifinals - 10-0 win over Sol Gum Pak, PRK
Elor earned a quick takedown and transitioned right to 4 turns with a leg lace. That's it - Elor moves on to the finals!

Am I wrong or did two gymnastics get robbed on that floor routine final? One penalized for stepping out of bounds when she didn't, and one gets her score changed higher for what, screwing another one out of a medal.

And I thought that football zebras were crooked.

Apparently she snuck out of the village to go to Disneyland. Not near as exciting as the story should have been

That very young Romanian girl was so exquisitely happy and crying with joy for about 90 seconds thinking she had won the Bronze only to have the score of the American increased (correctly). Then the tears were of disappointment. Felt really bad for her.

You probably still refer to Chinese as coolies.

So is it customary for the judges just to change their minds and change scores after they're announced, because a contestant protests? ("I did better than that!") Especially if the contestant is an American? BS.

I actually agree with her. She got hosed. Plus she got to celebrate for 45 seconds thinking she go the medal then they took it from her. Totally effed

I wouldn't say it's customary but it's not abnormal for a score to be protested and changed

But not changed when a performer is penalized for something she didn't do.

not it is customary if a challenge is filed to check the tape to see if a mistake was made and correct it. it is why they have a whole system set up to do it
