LSU prevails with their 4th solo shot of the game in the bottom of the 9th to win with a walk off 4-3.

 

I think lsu just toys with these lesser teams. Wofford switches pitchers in the 8th and gives up 3 hr’s.

 

Jeez, Charlie Condon just made an awful play in the field and Army has tied the game in the 8th inning.

 

Would love to see Georgia get cooked in their own regional.

 

OK State's basically a two-starter + deep bullpen team. Their usual Friday guy (Sam Garcia) is going tonight. Presumably, that means Brian Holiday tomorrow -- Brian Holiday Amateur & College Leagues Statistics | Baseball-Reference.com

 

Both lower seeds win in Greenville. East Carolina and Wake Forest will play an elimination game tomorrow.

 

If the 3 seed Gators win the (11)OSU Regional and 3 seed Coastal Carolina wins the (6)Clemson Regional, who would be the Super Regional host?

 

I think still Clemson. Though I could be wrong.

Here is what the manual says:

• Consideration for hosting shall be given to the better seed, including the 16 national seeds, if a suitable hosting proposal has been received (i.e., meets financial guarantee and quality of facility criteria). If the better seed has not submitted a proposal, the lower-seeded team will host if its proposal is acceptable.

• If the super regional match-up is between equally seeded teams, the committee shall review the hosting proposals according to the site selection criteria (i.e., quality and availability of facility, revenue potential and other available accommodations) to determine the host. If only one team has submitted a hosting proposal, that team shall host ifthe hosting proposal is acceptable

The Coastal stadium is 10 years old and only seats 5400. UF would have the attendance advantage and the NCAA certainly likes money.

 

I was hoping better stadium has the edge. Still a long way to go and plenty more what's ifs, but you never know.

 

Looks like Vandy gambled, starting their #3 pitcher in game 1, Thompson, and lost big time.

They were calling that regional(Arz) the 'group of death' during bradcast .. Kind of agree.. No 4 seed really, & arguably no 1 seed.

 

Vandy getting throttled by High Point.. Maybe this is all a bad dream for them and they will come back and find a way to win. Talk about crapping the bed.

 

Fine by me. I’m rooting for chaos across the board.

 

Vandy rallied to tie it at 9. Point has winning run on 3rd 1 out..
