I looked at KenPom and all our number are really similar to UK. Offensive rank, defensive, strength of schedule. They have a much higher "luck" rating. And their "bad" loss is a terrible loss. But sure, they're a lock.
Surprised South Carolina is still a lock given their home loss Saturday to LSU and a tough schedule the rest of the way
I just don't get this. Isn't UK on a 3 game home skid? I guess beating Auburn erases some warts... for some but not for others
Possibly, but they live at the FT line like we do, and I don't want to play a team from that area in Charlotte. And we struggle to guard without fouling at times, I'd imagine UNC would live at the FT line against anyone in that regional.
Yea I don’t mind UNC, but that’d be a virtual home game for them. Would prefer a less national fan base.
I don't mind being a 7-seed at all, but playing UNC in Charlotte wouldn't be ideal. I wouldn't mind seeing us in the Brooklyn subregion, where we've already played this season.
Moving up to a 6th seed has its advantages in that you would likely not play a team with such an overwhelming homecourt advantage. That said, I live in Charlotte and the team has already played their twice, so they would probably be used to the environment.
Obviously, we have a puncher’s chance against anyone, but think we need a 6 seed or better to have a realistic shot at the second weekend ( or we could just fall back to 11!) Don’t like 7-10 at all
I live in Columbia, SC. I'd be at the game, but that would be a home game for UNC. I'd rsther avoid that as well.
we still have 6 regular season games left and the SECT. Talking about who we're going to play next month in some fictitious bracket is pointless. Let's just win the next game then talk tournament matches after Selection Sunday. Getting ahead of ourselves here
Give folks a break, it’s been years since we have been in a relatively good position like this, let them have some fun .
