I am well aware of that. I don't think we are going to sweat these next two very much.

One thing I found interesting. Both Tennessee and Kentucky had their own branded bus to use in Omaha. All of the other teams used just the regular busses provided by the CWS. I don't recall ever seeing branded busses used here before.

They will change their tune tomorrow night LOL ESPN, as you know, always has to hype something they think will draw viewers--whether it comes to fruition is another story lol. Regardless one story line they will skip is a coach respected by their peers(S or S) and a coach (V) that is "interesting".

Maybe but it's nice for them to go home before we do.

I see similarities to last year. We cruised into the final series and had our pitchers lined up (like UT is now). LSU had to come out of the losers bracket and beat WF twice to make the finals. We all know how it ended up. I think we can duplicate what happened to LSU last year.

That did seem a bit strange. The busses certainly would have transported the team to Omaha. I would ASSUME the busses are provided by and paid for by the CWS and even if the school has to pay, it would be a small cost compared to the trip from campus.

Maybe it was to provide some semblance of uniformity for the players.

NCAA pays for a chartered flight for any Division I school more than 400 miles from the championship site. The bus might have transported fans or other employees. Take 40 people with you, charge them maybe $150 or even $250 each, and guarantee them return travel.

Friends & colleagues at Oak Ridge National Lab tell me that <21 day advance flights into or out of Knoxville are tough to get and expensive once they do. Lexington likely isn't a picnic to travel out of, either.

I’m not handling it at all, unless it’s a common theme. I appreciate my guys being upset with themselves for not getting it done with the season on the line.
