Thanks for sharing this video. I had a few run ins with E.G. in college. He’s a really nice and extremely humble individual. He and Todd Johnson were in my opinion some of the easiest going guys on those teams.

 

I assume BHS is a decent school but he's leaving a much better high school. At least he got a very good academic foundation at Woodward.

 

I read on another forum that EG is coaching at PK Young. It also said that Peterson's son and Doug Johnson's son also play at Buchholz.

So this isn't a high school football star transferring to an out-of-state school. This is a kid moving to another city where his dad has a new job.

They have the #1 Math team in the U.S. with 15 national championships beginning in 2007. In other respects, they are a decent school, but unfortunately all Alachua County High Schools have declined in academic quality of late.

 

Meh. He already has a full ride at UF. Where he gets his HS diploma doesn't matter anymore.

 

Being a "Purple" Hurricane alum, I woud've preferred GHS but it'a all good!

 

Cane football has been pretty woeful the last several years, so I'm sure he would have been welcomed with open arms!

 

Hopefully Ian Scott can start getting things turned around over there. Lot of Gator players coaching in the area now.
