It never stops. Families/boosters from one team in the stands offering money to families of players on the other team during live games. You think it stops in the offseason or because the season is about to start? It doesn’t.

 

Not anymore.

 

You said “not right before the season starts“.

 

All I know is we need Liv to be the real deal and desperately need her to stay healthy. If she goes down, we are hurting.

 

Unless she was asked to leave, I fervently hope that future coaches, teammates, and fans will see that Backstabbin' Aliyah Matharu is a sh*tty teammate, concerned only with herself, and that her career crashes and burns. Backstabbin' Christian Drejer is the only sh*ttier teammate I can recall. That SOB left midseason, just as he was starting to peak.

 

It seems like (I could be wrong) it’s possible that since we have a potentially program changing freshman pg coming in that matharu was asked to come off the bench. It seems very close to the start of the season so if it isn’t something of that nature, it’s possible there is more drama involved. Not going to lie…guards are a dime a dozen. We could probably still pickup a couple decent guards in the portal. It’s so much harder to recruit and keep skilled bigs. We have a talented class of newcomers that will demand time on the court and I think that has a lot to do with Aliyah’s decision to leave. She also will be on her 4th school…hard for me to blame the staff here. People’s roles change…and many are willing to tell people with lesser roles to accept them with grace but sometimes don’t like when their own role lessens and cannot cope. She probably is thinking about pro ball at this point in her career, worried less about team success. Can’t blame her. Wish her well. I think we need more hype for our excellent freshman class!

also think if Ra Shaya can stay healthy—her skills have made an increase every season..she is due for a big year

I agree bigs are needed more, but talents like Matharu, who led the SEC in scoring at one point, is definitely not a dime a dozen kind of loss. It's a pretty heavy blow to the roster this season sadly.

 

She's not listed on the roster.

 

That is rather odd. Seems like it would be best to cut ties. Lavender situation all over again? If you quit on the team, you quit and coach shouldn't allow it.
